March 1st 1910, snowlides delayed two trains
at the town of Wellington.
An avalanche crashed two passenger trains off the tracks tumbling them
into a ravine hundreds of feet below.
Over 100 lives were lost and became one of the worst railroad disasters in the
nation's history.

Cascade Tunnel completed in 1900 near the ghost town of Wellington
The tunnel was opened last year and can be hiked. Hard hats recommended.
Inside the Cascade Tunnel near the entrance.
On left - Orbs around research member Asia.
It is believed the orbs are unlikely to be small dust specks
as
the lights are large, uniform in color and shape and do not reflect
the flash similar to the reflection from the eye glasses.
On right - Various Orbs seen at top of tunnel.

Mysterious Light?
At the 1910 crash site at the lost city of Wellington
Mysterious light behind railroad researcher Doug Pederson
The area the light is located is the site of the train crash and is only tree
tops.
The platform is above a steep ravine with a 100 ft. drop.
No objects that would reflect light were observed on or near the deck.
Two plaques on the viewing platform
in the background describe and remember
the crash site.
Research report to be posted soon.

Photos by Eric Forhan - Left- posing in Cascade Tunnel, father took photo.
Both visitors had no idea the past history of deaths in the tunnel of two engineers.
